Introducing #EduRead !!

If you have been a part of the #MTBoS for any extended period of time, you are probably familiar with the many book chats that we have done over the years. For me personally, the weekly book chats have been an amazing way to push myself as a teacher and learner, but unfortunately time is a major issue during the school year! Out of this frustration #EduRead was born!

The basic idea is that instead of a weekly book chat, we will discuss an educational article each week. The major benefit to reading an article versus a full book is that people have more flexibility to drop in and out of the chat each week depending on their personal schedule. It will allow us the professional dialogue that many of us crave without feeling committed to a 6-8 week book study... It's the best of both worlds!

If you would like to submit an article to be read, please click here!

How it works:
  1. Each week, we will post an article to be read here on the blog and publicize it on twitter using the hashtag #EduRead
  2. We will have a weekly chat to discuss the article on Wednesday nights at 8pm Central, starting April 23.
  3. If you choose, during that week, feel free to publish a blog post reflecting on the article or how you applied it to the classroom.
  4. If you blog about the article, please post a link to your blog post in the comments section here so that we have an archive of blog posts relating to that week's article.

Thanks for joining us on this journey!
